WET HOP
This beer originates in our Svetle and we added fresh SAAZ hops in it. The fresh hops were used in boil as well as in whirlpool and in dry hopping. We are able to make this beer only once a year during the harvest of hops. The hops harvested on the field contain around 80 % of water (compared to 10 % in dried hops) and that’s why it needs to be processed within 24 hours of harvest. One of the first breweries that came with this kind of beer was Sierra Nevada.

All placesThe Matuška Brewery was founded on April 13th, 2009, which was an Easter Monday. The very first batch was brewed on this day and the beer was our special dark lager beer. The brewery falls in the mini-brewery category and it was founded by brewmaster Martin Matuška, who has been working in the beer industry since 1981.
